SMP Solutions has successfully passed the NIS2 audit!

SMP Solutions has successfully completed the NIS2 audit, the final audit report for which was recently finalised. This result reaffirms the company’s commitment to ensuring information security, cyber security compliance and business continuity.

NIS2 (Network and Information Systems Directive 2) is a key element of the European Union’s cyber security legislation, which was transposed into Hungarian law by Act LXIX of 2024. The Supervisory Authority for Regulated Activities (SZTFH) is responsible for monitoring organisations’ compliance.

During the audit, SMP Solutions demonstrated the maturity and effectiveness of its information security operations in accordance with statutory and professional requirements. The audit report, running to over 300 pages, examined the organisation’s operations, regulatory environment and technological controls across 19 key areas.

“Compliance with NIS2 is not merely a matter of fulfilling a regulatory obligation, but also serves as confirmation that we provide our services to our customers and partners in accordance with high standards of security and operational excellence,” emphasised the management of SMP Solutions.

The successful audit also marks an important milestone in the company’s progress in information security. In recent years, SMP Solutions has placed significant emphasis on developing its security processes and management systems, a commitment supported by its operations in accordance with the ISO/IEC 27001, 27017 and 27018 standards.

The NIS2 audit takes place every two years; the next supervisory audit is expected to take place in 2028.
