Pick Arena, Szeged
The Pick Arena in Szeged, home to one of Europe’s leading handball teams, was fitted out with IT and audiovisual systems installed by SMP Solutions. Our integrated solutions form a key part of the venue’s state-of-the-art technological infrastructure. The project is a fine example of SMP Solutions’s expertise in implementing complex technological systems for large-capacity sports and event venues.
The challenge
The design of the Pick Arena’s IT and audiovisual systems presented a complex challenge requiring the coordination of several technological disciplines. The technical scope and complexity of the project were similar in many respects to the MVM Dome project; thus, building on our previous experience, we were able to commence work with tried-and-tested solutions and extensive project knowledge.
Implementation
SMP Solutions was able to directly apply the professional and construction experience gained during the MVM Dome project to the realisation of the Pick Arena. Thanks to the lessons learnt from the previous project, technical consultations, decision-making processes and the individual stages of implementation all became more efficient. As a result of close cooperation with the client, IT and audiovisual systems were installed that support the operation of a modern, world-class sports and events venue.
