MATE Auditorium

SMP Solutions was involved in the renovation and modernisation of the MATE Auditorium, contributing to the project by developing complex technological solutions. Our tasks encompassed the implementation of the IT infrastructure, security systems and audiovisual systems. By coordinating the various specialist areas, we developed integrated systems tailored to the requirements of a modern university environment. The project is a good example of SMP Solutions’s system integration capabilities, which combine multiple technological competencies.

The challenge

During the modernisation of the MATE Auditorium, we had to carry out complex IT and electrical installation works in a building that remained in daily use. Work organisation was made more difficult not only by the building’s continuous use but also by the fact that the previously refurbished electrical network did not meet the requirements of the IT infrastructure at every point. Consequently, in addition to the necessary modifications, it was also necessary to install a new EPH network.

Implementation

Drawing on its decades of construction experience, SMP Solutions organised the work in such a way as to minimise disruption to the building’s day-to-day operations. In addition to setting up the IT infrastructure, we carried out the necessary electrical modifications, installed the new EPH network, and checked and documented the completed systems using appropriate measurements. The work, which required coordination across several disciplines, was carried out over a construction period of several months, whilst adapting to the institution’s operations.

What we’re proud of

This project clearly demonstrates that the success of a complex construction project does not depend solely on technical expertise. Adapting to the environment, precise work organisation, and the coordinated efforts of project managers, specialists and subcontractor partners are at least as important. We are proud that, building on all these factors, we have carried out the modernisation of the MATE Auditorium to a high professional standard, whilst causing the least possible disruption to the institution’s day-to-day operations.
