Hungary’s national stadium, UEFA, a Category 4 venue, to which SMP supplied the IT and digital display systems, a sound system covering the entire stadium, and security solutions, including turnstiles and the access control system.
Scope
IT – network infrastructure, a digital display system covering the entire venue, a public address and emergency evacuation sound system compliant with UEFA, Category 4, and spectator safety systems: access gates, an access control system and their integration with the ticketing system.
Why is this important?
Category 4-rated venues are eligible to host international finals, and the standard covers everything from sound intelligibility to admission capacity. To bring this to fruition, it required the collaboration of all six business units of SMP, working together within a single project organisation.
