Prevention of money laundering
As the lead contractor, we are implementing SymphonyAI’s NetReveal financial crime prevention platform (transaction monitoring, screening, customer risk management) for organisations ranging from international banking groups to regional banks. From planning to cloud-based services – including, where required, on the bank’s own infrastructure – everything from a single source.
Anti-money laundering (AML) services
With the EU’s new Anti-Money Laundering Authority (AMLA) and the single European rulebook, supervisory requirements are becoming stricter, regardless of a bank’s size. SMP offers an anti-financial crime (AFC) software suite that is considered the market standard: a solution proven in large banking groups, which we also provide as a cloud service that can be rapidly deployed by regional and smaller banks.
Transaction monitoring and screening on a single platform – SymphonyAI NetReveal provides rule- and AI-based transaction monitoring, sanctions and PEP screening, customer risk rating, alert management and investigation workflows right through to regulatory reporting. SensaAI’s alert prioritisation reduces false positives and the workload for investigators.
Pre-configured, rapid implementation – We build on a standard design (‘golden copy’) developed for a major banking group, which we adapt to local regulations and the data environment. This enables smaller banks to get started with a proven set of rules and processes, without the need for a lengthy planning phase.
In the cloud or on the bank’s own infrastructure – We primarily provide the platform as a cloud service (SaaS) operated by SMP: licences, environments, operation and DORA-compliant contractual frameworks from a single source, without the need for your own infrastructure, at a cost that scales with the size of your bank. Where regulatory or institutional requirements dictate, we also deploy and support the solution within the bank’s own data centre.
Data-driven compliance – The Azure-based data platform (Databricks) unifies customer and transaction data and prepares it for monitoring, whilst also opening up new analytical possibilities.
Main contractor responsibility – SMP is leading the entire programme: architecture, data enablement, integration, testing, project management, as well as regulatory and methodological consultancy in collaboration with PwC.
This means that, regardless of their size, our clients receive the technology, expertise and operational support from a single partner.
