Digital signatures throughout the entire document workflow

With SMP Solutions’ digital signature solutions, the signing of contracts, declarations and other business documents becomes part of the electronic process, whether carried out in person or remotely.

Biometric signature for in-person administrative procedures

The customer can sign the document on an electronic signature pad in the same way as they would on paper. The solution captures not only an image of the signature but also its biometric characteristics, which can be used to verify the authenticity of the signature. The signature pads can be integrated into existing customer service and document management processes, meaning that documents can be signed and processed without the need for printing.

Electronic signatures and trust services

Certificate-based electronic signatures may be used for remote or fully digital transactions. Depending on the legal and security requirements of the process, various levels of signatures and associated trust services – such as qualified electronic signatures, electronic stamps, time-stamping and long-term preservation – can be integrated into the document workflow.

The two approaches can be used separately or, when tailored to the customer journey, in combination. The aim is to reduce paper-based processes, simplify signing and document management, and ensure the authenticity and traceability of digital documents.
