EESZT / DÁP integration

A hospital information system (HIS) in Hungary operates effectively only if it is connected to EESZT, the NEAK, laboratories and other partner systems. SMP’s localisation layer supports these integrations by building on ready-made, functioning interfaces, meaning that HIS does not always need to be developed separately to handle specific domestic requirements.

Overview

When implementing a HIS, it is often not the system itself that presents the greatest challenge, but rather the development and maintenance of the necessary integrations. For a Hungarian healthcare provider to operate, it must connect to numerous domestic systems and partners. The localisation layer manages these connections via a single integration platform and links HIS to domestic systems and partners.

Contacts

  • Legal obligations: EESZT and NEAK links for mandatory data reporting and financial accounting.
  • Laboratories and diagnostics: simpler integration of laboratories and diagnostic systems in Hungary, for example with the Corden, BIK, Medserv and eRAD systems.
  • Customer management: Microsoft Dynamics 365 CRM, mobile app, queue management and patient call-up (QMS), as well as direct contact with care organisers and key corporate partners.
  • Logistics: pharmaceutical authentication via the HUMVO system, as well as links to the wholesale systems of Hungaropharma, Phoenix and Euromedic.
  • Finance: SAP-way integration, online payments via various payment systems, and invoicing integration with the most widely used invoicing systems.

How is it different from custom integration?

  • It can be flexibly adapted to various HIS models: the localisation layer is not tied to any single HIS manufacturer, so the appropriate system can be selected more freely.
  • It is built on ready-made, functioning interfaces: utilising existing connections can reduce the need for bespoke development and make the integration process more predictable.
  • Changes can be managed centrally: if legislation or a partner interface changes, the amendments can be made directly within the localisation layer, meaning that it is not necessarily necessary to modify every affected system.
  • Can be expanded gradually: new partners or systems can be integrated into the existing integration platform, which can simplify the establishment of new connections and reduce the amount of development work required.
