Cloud strategy, implementation and operation, all from a single source
Taking a vendor-neutral approach, we help you select, design and operate the cloud environment best suited to your business and technological needs on the Microsoft Azure, Oracle Cloud Infrastructure and Google Cloud platforms. We do not limit ourselves to a single cloud platform. We select the technology that best meets your business needs based on functionality and value for money, and then design, build, automate and operate the cloud environment.
We do not limit ourselves to a single cloud platform. We select the technology that best meets business requirements in terms of functionality and value for money, and then we design, build, automate and operate the cloud environment.
The right cloud for the right business need
We start by assessing which cloud solution offers the appropriate technological and business value for the specific client, regulatory environment, business application and other workloads. In many cases, it is precisely the multi-vendor approach that delivers the benefits (cost-effectiveness, feature richness, business continuity) that our clients require. The aim is not to implement a multi-cloud setup for its own sake, but to reduce unnecessary dependence on a single provider and to preserve technological choice.
With our vendor-neutral approach, we help you determine the appropriate public, private, hybrid or multi-cloud architecture, taking into account your existing infrastructure, application architecture, integration requirements and costs.
Cloud Strategy and Consultancy
A successful cloud migration does not begin with choosing the technology, but with analysing business needs and technical requirements. We help you determine what to move to the cloud, why, and under which model, as well as when it is appropriate to retain a traditional or hybrid setup.
As part of our consultancy services, we provide support for:
- the development of a cloud strategy and implementation plan
- the assessment of workloads and applications
- the evaluation of cloud platforms
- the alignment of business and technological requirements
- the development of a migration approach
- an analysis of cost and TCO considerations
- the development of the regulatory and operational model
Designing landing zones and cloud environments
A robust technological foundation is required to ensure stable cloud operations. Our experts are involved in the design and implementation of the Landing Zone environment for the selected service provider(s), thereby establishing a controlled operating environment for future workloads.
The work may also cover cloud architecture, network connections, identity integration, resource structure, governance, logging, monitoring and alerts.
DevOps and infrastructure automation
One of the key advantages of the cloud is that the deployment and modification of infrastructure can be automated and based on repeatable processes.
We support the creation and management of cloud infrastructures using agile methodologies, DevOps and the Infrastructure as Code (IaC) approach. Automation makes cloud operations more standardisable, reproducible, scalable and easier to document.
Migration and cloud-native platforms
We manage and support the migration of existing applications and infrastructure to the cloud, as well as the development of new cloud environments and workloads.
Depending on the specific context, the task may involve:
- assessing workloads and planning their migration
- the design of the target architecture
- the creation of a cloud environment and basic infrastructure
- deploying workloads to the cloud
- the establishment of hybrid and multi-cloud connections
- the introduction of container platforms
- the development of the DevOps environment and Infrastructure as Code
- support for operations following migration
Cloud-based operation and continuous optimisation
Moving to the cloud doesn’t end with migration.
Our experts are also experienced in the ongoing operation and development of the cloud environments we have set up. As part of our cloud service model, in addition to platform operation, we also provide services in the areas of logging, monitoring, cost management, FinOps and automation.
Our aim is to ensure that, following its roll-out, the cloud environment continues to operate in a controlled manner, in line with industry best practice, and that it can be continuously developed and optimised in terms of technology, operations and costs.
Experience gained in banking and regulated environments
The introduction of cloud services in the financial sector gives rise to specific technological, regulatory and operational requirements.
SMP has experience in banking and large-enterprise infrastructures. We are therefore able to tailor our cloud approach not only to large enterprise infrastructures but also to the requirements of regulated financial environments, taking into account the aspects of regulated operations, documentation and service management.
