A brilliant victory at the 4th Active Life Industry Football Cup!
Over the past few days, everyone has turned into a national football expert… We understand the current mood surrounding football, and of course we, too, are disappointed by the national team’s spectacular failure, but we’re here today with some good football news!
On 14 November, the SMP Solutions team won the 24-team 4th Active Life Industry Football Cup in Törökbálint!
Members of the winning team: Dániel Nagy (goalkeeper), Mátyás Berecz, Richárd Németh, Sebestyén Dóczi, István Erdélyi, Sándor Szél, Péter Bodnár, Viktor Kuti (player-coach), Zsolt Németh, Levente Imre.
The football tournament involved a packed schedule: five group matches, followed by the semi-finals and finally the final. The SMP strategy worked all day: a strong pressing game, putting the opposition under pressure and securing victory with quick goals. After four group match wins and one draw, the semi-final, however, proved to be an incredibly tense affair! The match ended in a draw after normal time, so it went to penalties. In this nail-biting situation, Dani Nagy saved a penalty, whilst the rest of the team kept their cool, so we made it through to the final!
Fortunately, there wasn’t much suspense left at this stage; we won the final 4–0 with an impressive performance. This latest success marks our third Törökbálint Cup victory, and Dani was also named the tournament’s best goalkeeper.
Pride, joy and heartfelt CONGRATULATIONS, because as favourites we delivered the performance we expected of ourselves! The SMP Solutions team remains a key player in the Business League’s top division; the autumn season has now come to an end, and although we’re tied for first place, we’re looking forward to the spring season in top spot!
And finally, an important piece of information: if you’d like to join our successful football team, please get in touch with Viktor Kuti, the warehouse manager!
