A new era of cyber threats: focusing on the security challenges of the future
At the Portfolio Banking Technology 2025 conference, László Marton, Head of the IT Security Group at SMP Solutions, gave a presentation – which attracted a great deal of interest – on next-generation cyber security threats and the increasingly complex forms of attack facing companies.
The technical presentation highlighted current risks such as zero-click attacks, attacks against AI systems, data breaches, disinformation campaigns, deepfake technologies and DDoS threats. The presentation also highlighted that advances in artificial intelligence and quantum computing could take cybersecurity challenges to a whole new level.
To conclude the presentation, participants were introduced to practical defence strategies and recommendations, emphasising that the foundation of digital business stability lies in informed and high-level cyber security preparedness.
