A full house – interest in AI remains high!
Portfolio Conferences concluded its final IT conference of the year, entitled “AI & Digital Transformation 2025”, to a packed house. In recent years, business operations have been digitised at an astonishing pace; paper-based processes are gradually being phased out for good, and we only visit bank branches for in-person transactions in the most complex cases, where a physical presence is still required. However, the AI revolution – and its latest offshoot, ‘agentic AI’ – is turning the digital world, internal digital operations and customer-facing front-ends on their heads. AI agents capable of acting autonomously are providing companies with new, previously unimaginable speeds and extraordinary potential for efficiency gains in the IT sector and across business functions.

In her presentation, Edit outlined the dilemmas associated with GenAI, placing the focus on people, a workforce with a sound understanding of data and AI, capable of asking better questions, and called for a paradigm and cultural shift in which traditional corporate roles are transformed to meet the challenges of the AI era.
